There is no problem wiring the solar panel to the leisure battery (via a solar controller) and this is often the way it is done, the benefit of some of the solar charge going to the starter battery either with a split charge controller or a battery master which sends a trickle charge from the leisure battery/solar panel into the starter battery (Vanbitz sell them,for this purpose)
